Seems relevant considering the fires and COVID attacking the lungs and the crazies saying 5G disrupts oxygen bonding to hemoglobin. Gotta get me some of that canned air.
So Steemit Inc has come forward and claimed the stolen Steem for themselves, further proving the point that Steem is an unregulated unlicensed security and they think they can get away with stealing investor funds. You know, this would make more sense if Steemit was incorporated in China or Russia or something, but it's just not. I can't believe they are trying to pull this shit in Murica. Oh wait, yes I can.
This dynamic has so many implications. Not only is it going to raise eyebrows at the SEC (who is already gunning for Tron), but also it proves beyond any doubt (even to people who don't know better) that the top 20 witnesses on Steem have absolutely no power and it was indeed Steemit Inc controlling all those actions the entire time.
Apparently those coins are a big enough honey pot for Sun to double down, yet again. If you ask me, this is finally going to be the one that nukes him. He's been doubling down on the situation this entire time, digging the hole deeper and deeper. Well, looks like that hole might finally get filled in with him still inside.
I received some insider information about this case... I can't talk about it but I will say that they have very strong lawyers and make a good case. I would bet on our side to win. It's also important to note that it's not just Bittrex being sued here, but the unknown entity (John Doe) that stole the funds in the first place. Now that Steemit Inc. has foolishly identified themselves as John Joe, this puts a huge target on their back.
I have to assume that there must be some kind of epic exit strategy planned that will simply bankrupt Steemit Inc when they lose. Will they dump all their stake and attempt to incorporate the remaining Steem community into Tron? Seem likely, but certainly not guaranteed. We all know how Sun can act rashly without thinking about the future.
Best case scenario Bittrex and Steemit Inc get nailed to the wall and have to shell out $16M. To give you all some context Sun paid $8M for the entire company of Steemit Inc... lol. The court fine would likely be in dollars and not Steem... so the stolen Steem would then belong to Steemit Inc I suppose. Too bad their is no liquidity to dump it... lol. So many lawls.
My only hope is that a huge chunk of that money goes into Hive (or at least Bitcoin). I imagine it would, but anything is possible. Also I still have no idea how long this is all going to take. Time is a big variable.
voicesocial tweet
This should come to no surprise to those who have been following EOS and Voice. The thread goes on to point out why blockchain doesn't even make sense for the application being presented.
That being said, no one cares about decentralization (not normies anyway). Something no one seems to mention is that the only thing that really matters here... is money. If Voice can create a social media platform that pays their users any kind of significant amount... that's really all they need to be successful.
All of the ideology behind crypto and decentralization is irrelevant in this context. People get paid? People join platform. Simple as that. The unique aspect isn't breaking up monolithic power structures, but that is what many of naysayers are focusing on.
That being said, if Voice is not decntralized and it is a social media platform that pays people to interact and create content... it stands to reason that such a centralized network would become corrupted and gamed into the ground quite quickly.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Dan is a corporate fuckup that doesn't know what he's doing. I'm flabbergasted that he was even able to invent DPOS in the first place, but then again that greedy goblin started the genesis blocks with the ability for whales to vote 30 times on governance with only the top 20 used for consensus control.
I say again: no one should be worried about Dan being able to compete in a decentralized landscape. He can't. He doesn't know what he is doing and DPOS was the most decentralized thing he will ever invent, period. This leads me into my next point.
Hive Exit-To-Community Fluke
Hive just happens to be a community that was able to fight and survive centralized assault (obviously still working on it). But still, considering the circumstances, we are doing pretty good.
Oh, THE GLORIOUS SHADE!
Conclusion
Our hardfork is set to come out right around labor day. We will further distance ourselves from Steem and hopefully the run up being predicted by so many analysts will come to fruition during that time.
