Cat + Conditioning + CMC + Ionomy + Twitch

My cat has been having a very hard time these past couple days. Didn't quite know what was wrong until yesterday. She's having a very hard time going to the bathroom. The internets says I need to take her to the vet ASAP but she'll have to wait until tomorrow morning.

I assume she has bladder stones, a bladder infection, or feline interstitial cystitis. That's what you want right? In the middle of a 'pandemic'. Anyway, my girlfriend kept telling me she was going to donate the $1200 to the needy. I told her that was a bad idea. Who knew I'd get to say I-told-you-so this quickly. Of course I think I won't say it, I'll just leave it here and hope she doesn't read this. Although one day at work she read 2 years of my blogs and it got me into some trouble. Fuck it, let it ride.

Conditioning

Global Citizen: One World Together at Home.

Have you guys seen this thing yet? Parts of it are pretty painful to watch, but a huge chunk of the population is absorbing this message, so it's worth a visit. Hosted by the W.H.O. I believe. Bill Gates is in there and everything (7 hour 13 minute mark).

As someone working at Amazon right now, it is absolutely ridiculous to call me a "first-responder" or a "hero". Which is exactly what they are calling all the doctors and nurses as well. They're even going so far as to equate employees in the medical field as war heroes. It's pretty crazy.

Seriously though, this is not the Black Death. My fear level is at a zero when it comes to the virus and at 100 when it comes to looking at the power grabs and wealth transfers happening during all this. I don't really feel like it's necessary to give people a pat on the back for doing their job, as it really just seems to make everyone else more afraid than they should be, but I guess that's the whole point.

Seriously there is a quote on the wall at work with expletives (shit) **** out praising us for delivering packages. It's crazy.

Amazon

People are being conditioned to stay and home and adapt to this situation. Once the virus is long gone, many of those habits will remain. Way more people are going to shop at Amazon and other online retailers more often. Laws that clamp down on people's freedoms will not be lifted.

Why is the Patriot Act still around? Why is Social Security still a thing? These were supposed to be temporary measures that became permanent, and the same will happen with COVID-19 to be sure. Judging by how severe this situation is (or pretends to be) the measures that become permanent will be equally severe. Fun times.

CMC

CoinMarketCap got back to us about why Hive is listed low.

Hive does not yet fit the prereqs to get listed on the front page.
I have the feeling we'll get there soon though. No worries. Not that I even use CMC anymore because CZ bought it. CoinGecko works just fine.

See? Even Google knows what's up!

Ionomy

My withdrawals went through (apparently there was a big backlog yesterday) and they even posted on my blog saying they're going to add the withdrawal recipient to the confirmation email, so that's pretty cool.

Thank you for the suggestion about adding the receiving address in the confirmation email. The developers are actively integrating this suggestion. You'll see it soon.

Yes, there was an error in the withdrawal process. All withdrawals should be processed. Sorry for the delay. The developers are building a new withdrawal system that should prevent this kind of problem in the future.

I consider adding Ionomy to my arsenal of centralized exchanges an act of decentralization. After all, how many times have multiple exchanges been hacked on the same day? I now have a new place to withdraw hive and steem to that isn't Bittrex or Binance. Good times.

Twitch

I have a friend in the service industry who has been out of work for a while. He was always looking for an opportunity to start streaming on Twitch because one of our friends have been doing this for some years now. Looks like he's found his opportunity. He bought a good mic and everything.

It's nice because he won't have to start off at square one, he's been interacting on Twitch for a long time and already has a community there, so that's good. Not that I think he'll make any kind of significant money there, but maybe one day crypto will enter that streaming arena and things will blow up. We'll see.

Conclusion

The world is still upside down. The new normal will be one for the record books.
