I was annoyed to see that my daily @actifit delegations have reduced from 100 coins a day to 65. This means @actifit is receiving many more delegations than it was a month ago and everyone's share has been diluted. @actifit only gives away 100,000 coins a day, so the more accounts that delegate to them the less rewards are given out per coin.
@freedom is now delegating 50,000 Steem to the cause! This is bad from the perspective that I now get less coins, but very good for actually increasing the value of each coin. The more delegations @actifit receives, the more demand there is to have the coin, increasing it's demand and lowering the supply. It also make's @actifit's upvotes worth more which let's them reward app users for participating.
Hopefully in the future the @actifit account will have a few million in delegations to play around with. With Steem so cheap I'll be looking to power up more when I can afford to. Some of that will surely go to @actifit. I've been impressed with the amount of work they've done in such a short time. Integration with Fitbit is a particularly good way to branch out and get more notoriety.
@actifit is a great alternative for universal basic income. Instead of getting "paid for nothing" you get paid for physical activity. This kind of forward thinking is great for society because the health benefits related to exercise are literally innumerable. Hopefully @actifit takes its place as one of the go-to ways to get paid in a world transitioning to automated services.
