Delegating Steem-Power For The First Time Ever

actifit io news.png

For the first time ever in 8 months, I have decided to delegate my Steem Power to a project. At first, it was only a 50 SP deletation, but now I've upped it to 145. Considering I still have 2500 SP leftover, I'm not too worried about it cutting into my vote power.

I love me some shitcoins, and Actifit is the ultimate shitcoin. Built on nothing but hopes and dreams, this SMT project is keeping track of what they owe everyone until the beginning of next year when SMTs release and they can actually have their own coin.

Actifit pays out coins based on delegations and using their activity counting app. The app is primitive, but it does the job. I expect they'll upgrade it in the future.

In essence, Actifit provides basic income to those who use it. I support any idea that will keep plankton active on the blockchain.

As far is delegation is concerned, the ratio for SP granted to Actifit vs coins received gets smaller everyday. This means everyday Actifit is receiving substantial delegations and the reward pool becomes more diluted. I've almost wondered if I should delegate all my coins for a few weeks rather than a few coins for a whole year. This would yield more coins for the same delegation rate on average because I'd get in sooner than everyone else a year from now.... Whatever, I like my 11 cent vote.

The one really annoying thing about it is that to collect rewards you have to sell out your followers and clutter the feed with low quality posts. I started posting on my other account @smartasscards for this exact reason. Still, there's no rule that things won't change, either on Actifit's side or on the frontend clients for Steem (Steemit, Busy, SteemPeak).

I've always said that the Discussion object in the Steem API requires an attribute called, "priority". This would be the author telling the blockchain how highly they ranked the Discussion they just posted. It would be a number between 1-10000 (0.01% to 100%) just like voting percentage. For posts like Actifit this would allow us to let our followers know that the post is low quality, and they can filter it out of the feed if they wanted to.

Part 6: Post Order Priority

I don't expect to get anything out of my Actifit investment. This seems like a system that would immediately get gamed into the dirt if it ever became worth anything. Still, I have high hopes; I love me some shitcoins. A chip and a chair is all I need.
