Have you ever heard someone talk about the Founding Fathers when they try to defend their flimsy political argument? Really? Those guys from 1776 would have taken your side? Laughable. First of all, making the claim that someone else agrees with you to validate a debate is ridiculous. This is mob mentality. It's on par with speaking for God and saying it's what He would want. Secondly, the Founding Father's minds would be blown by how far technology has come.
The logistics of the present are absolutely insane when compared to the past. We've got super highways with big-rigs driving goods in mass all over the country. We've got aircraft doing to same. We have the Internet. The Declaration of Independence is sorely outdated, and instead of changing it for the better, the elite simply ignores it and takes away more rights from the people.
Centralization got us to where we are today. This was the easiest way to scale up and increase efficiency over time. However, we have now reached an impasse. All of the progress we've made over the last 100 years has been stifled by greed and corruption.
Back in the 1950's a factory worker could support an entire family with the money he earned. A worker today can barely support themselves doing similar work. This discrepancy implies more than 100% of the gains in technology and efficiency we've made since then have gone straight to the mega-rich. Providing the proletarian with the goods and services they desire has never been easier, yet they have to work twice as hard to afford those luxuries.
James Bond villain Elon Musk says we should all work 100 hours a week if we want to accomplish our dreams. What a slave-driving psychotic statement. Life should be getting easier, not harder. We should only have to work 10-20 hours a week if you think about it from this perspective.
The kicker? People were still just as greedy in the 50's as they are today. The elite has found multiple ways to siphon as many resources as they possibly can from the economy without toppling it. However, the system seems to become more top-heavy every year as the balancing act required to keep it afloat gets more complicated. Our livelihood rests on a house-of-cards foundation.
Cryptocurrency would have zero value if we could trust the people in charge of the economy. It's a highly inefficient means of validating information. However, technology has come so far that we no longer need efficiency. Trust is becoming the most valuable asset in the world because its supply is almost non-existent.
We're approaching a new phase in our societal evolution where the efficiency gained by technology means nothing without a fair distribution of those gains. We might have to do ten times the work of a centralized organization, but a tipping point is coming where that cost is well worth it.
