Seems like every day is just littered with good news in favor of crypto. Have the winds of fate shifted, or are we dropping our guard? Hold strong either way, amirite?
This is getting pretty out of control though.
Bitcoin is getting greenlit on most fronts.
I would not want her job!
You can tell the central bank got in her ear first. Whispering about 'terrorism' & 'money laundering' (aka tax evasion). She came out strong stance that was fairly anti-crypto.
But then, shortly thereafter, she rolled back and added, "But crypto is very valuable and we can't choke innovation."
How fun would that be? To have both sides whispering in your ear with conflicting interest. Politics so fun.
This is why it's nice to have the sharks entering the cryptosphere. Do they only care about making profit, yes. Is it ideal? No. Except it is very ideal when we find ourselves in such unideal positioning.
The sharks know how to navigate this loop-holed swiss cheese nightmare of a legal system. They are already on it, making sure Miss Treasury Secretary knows damn well that the vested interests of Bitcoin are not going to roll over and die. By extension, that provides a shield for the whole cryptosphere.
Of course having a shield doesn't render one invincible from harm. Just ask XRP. More centralized networks are prone to regulations and internal corruption. But Bitcoin helps quite a bit. XRP would have been instantly slapped down if Bitcoin did not exist. It happened multiple times during the Dot Com boom. Every digital currency was annihilated immediately back then. Silly corporations, thinking they could force central banks to compete.
But corporations are competing now.
They're starting to compete. They don't control Bitcoin but boy are they sure going to own a lot of it. Think about how fierce the competition is going to get over the next year. Dear God.
GUYS!
What is happening right now?
Conclusion
When is this perfect storm going to end?
