Another Thursday, another powerdown.

Our gracious lord and master has allowed me to power down once more.
Thanks for giving me permission on this 'permissionless' platform. Thanks for propping up the value at 17 cents. $5000 to go.

Why 17 cents?

I just realized the reason for doing this. 17 cents is the exact level that Steem and Hive need to hold in order to continue printing their respective stable coins (SBD/HBD) and not haircut the debt ratio.

JSun seems very committed to holding this level to make the platform appear stable. In fact, it might be very smart to use Steem as a stable-coin right now if you believe this trend will continue. The price "can't" go below 17 cents, but it certainly can go up, making it superior than any stable-coin in existence.

Real paycheck posted to my bank account.

I'm certainly getting used to this hazard pay that Amazon is giving me for "putting my life on the line". Getting paid more than ever as I get to watch the world burn. Fun times.

My girlfriend just sent me this link. Now they are saying the virus has been spreading through California for quite some time (duh). California may already have "herd immunity". They're saying it could have been spreading around here as far back as fall 2019. As I've already stated multiple times, I think I got in mid February. 7 weeks later my cough is finally starting to clear up.

This is somewhat interesting...

Apparently the @darthknight account along with other huge accounts like @blocktrades have sent funds to exchanges using the same memo. Are all these accounts the same person? Is memo key 101130147 providing some kind of service I don't know about? I don't really care; Just think it's noteworthy.

Another 4 years of Trump?

Now that Bernie Sanders has dropped out, I think there is a much better chance that Trump wins the election. How many times has the incumbent lost?

https://www.history.com/topics/us-presidents/presidential-elections-1

In 1991 incumbent President George H. W. Bush’s approval ratings reached 88 percent, the highest in presidential history up to that point. But by 1992, his ratings had sunk, and Bush became the fourth sitting U.S. president to lose re-election.

You heard right...

Only 4 presidents ever have lost the election on the second term. However, there is that certain "anyone but Trump" attitude that is quite pervasive across the country. If Biden does win, liberals will be so enthusiastic that they will likely allow any and all manner of fucked up laws get passed. Something to keep in mind.

Went to the grocery store the other day.

The flour isle is still fully cleared out, but another isle has been cleared out as well. Good thing I bought a case of ramen noodles before everyone realized they were going to be completely broke in a few weeks. Sad.

"Will I get in Trouble for Buying Bitcoin"

This is what my cousin asked me when I told her to buy Bitcoin. This is how little people know about crypto, and the sigma of the blackmarket still haunts us.

Conclusion

Well I have to head out to work very soon. Time to earn more of this hugely discounted crypto while I still can.
