LEO maximalists are feeling the sting something fierce as Hive continues to spike out of control alongside Steem. Personally I was mega-bullish on Hive throughout the entire consolidation phase during December, January, and February. I did nothing but buy more as everyone else complained about the stagnant price. Best opportunity to buy the likes of which we will not see again for at least 2 years.

Seriously I couldn't shut up about it and barely anyone listened. That's crypto for ya.
I even went so far as to predict multiple times that Hive would spike up specifically in late March. @marki99 laid it out quite well and I mostly agreed with his assessment so I reblogged the post.

Expect a 100% move up in Hive's price in March.
Hm, yep...
And it's obviously performed even better than anticipated. So many users think we can't even break all time highs again, let alone break new ATHs. Everyone got the bear-market goggles on. At the end of it all to assume that we haven't made any progress in 3 years of development is just silly. Hell, we didn't even have the RC system last time the network was clogged during the mega-bull insanity.
I bought so heavily in the 10-15 cent range that I'm fairly priced out of the market at this point. Nothing to do now but hold strong. You know who else is holding stronk? Every other person that was buying that 10-15 cent range. Only the Hive zealots bought this level, which is why the price keeps going up with very little resistance.
I'm not even going to think about selling until like $5, and maybe not even then. When my blog posts are making $300+ a pop I'm not going to be too worried about taking big gains. Let's talk again in Q4 and see where I'm at.
Hive/LEO ratio
I got a lot of flak from the LEO community for selling LEO into Hive at the 3:1 ratio. Now look at me go. At this rate I'll be able to buy back at 1:1. Again, I like to maintain balanced positions. When one network spikes I'm going to divert funds into the others. This is the synergy of crypto. Stop being a maximalist.
LEO maximalism
Once again, you don't get to be bullish on LEO without being bullish on the platform that it's built on. This is what happens in that scenario. You don't get to be like:
Oh well I like the Hive network but the tokenomics suck!
lol... no...
That "blockchain-not-Bitcoin" attitude is an over-emotional over-correction resulting from getting wrecked during the bear market. Bear market is over, friends: Q2 awaits, and Q4 will be even better. Get with the program.
Hive could hit all time highs and still only be ranked #40 on the market cap. To assume Hive can't make it into the top 10 after the Doge spike is just downright delusional. Doge community stronk. Hive community stronk.
Again, you'll know things are crazy when value around here starts being measured in bandwidth instead of token price. "Free" transactions are going to be a treasured asset in Q4. Even fees on Binance Smart Chain are going to become prohibitively expensive after BNB goes x10 again to $2500. Don't even get me started on BTC and ETH: jesus.
I hope we have RC pools by then...
IMO RC pools are the #1 priority for this network. We need to separate the ability to transact on chain from delegations so onboarding cannot be exploited. Soon™
Conclusion
This market doesn't care about anyone's opinion. It's just going to keep doing what it does, and during the mega-bubble year that means up up up up up up up for 9 months with a few dips here and there. I'm pretty happy with the distribution of my bags. Are you?
